We woke up to the sunrise and sound of monkeys every morning and also saw monkeys from the deck (as well as hummingbirds, butterflies, and lizards). When the wind died, it did get hot at night, but in general we were ok with the fans. There were surprisingly few mosquitos (perhaps because it was the very end of the dry season), but the beds had nice nets which should help if it's buggier. In addition to the beauty of the house and property, I can't say enough good things about the property manager Ximena, who met us at the house. She was so responsive both before our stay and during, letting us know about a ferry closure and even helping to arrange our dinner the first night we arrived. Highly recommend!

It goes beyond that.... read more The vibe that exists there consumes you into such a relaxing state. It was often difficult to leave the house. We most enjoyed the incredible sunrises. Also, since it’s up in the backlands of Montezuma, in Delicias, we were just 15-20 minutes from Santa Teresa. It’s pretty amazing to catch the sun rise and sun set off the water in the same day. Ximena, our host was equally amazing. We didn’t need to contact her much at all as the house is so well organized and equipped. It’s the most equipped house we’ve rented there so far. We’ve rented many in the past. But when we did reach out to her for a question or two, she was very quick to respond. Overall, we had an absolute incredible experience there. We love that house so much. Thank you Kiti for sharing your house and creating many spectacular memories.

Our group included five kids who loved spending hours in the pool (the adults did too!). We enjoyed walking to the nearby Butterfly Brewery and garden for snacks—highly recommended—and exploring the Sun Trails entrance to waterfalls 2 and 3. On our last night, we had an unforgettable dinner at Bejuko Sushi just down the road—10/10 for both food and atmosphere, dining in the heart of the jungle.The open-air design of the house was lovely. Although there's no A/C, we never felt we needed it. The howler monkeys made for a unique alarm clock in the mornings, which we embraced as part of the experience. The neighbour dogs liked to come visit, but they are not bothersome at all and friendly.

The pool is the focal point of the house. This home is designed to sleep many people, lending itself to family reunions or multiple friends sharing the space. It’s a very outdoor home. Be prepared to be one with nature.

Sipping a pina colada poolside while watching the sun dip into the horizon line while monkeys were howling, birds singing, and trees swaying in the wind was pure bliss. Our host was AWESOME, so helpful, friendly, and communicative, giving us tips about the area and providing us with everything we needed, plus more, for our stay. I loved that Montezuma was only a short distance from this house. Excellent restaurants, beaches, hiking, zip-lining, horseback riding, waterfalls, and more are just a hop-and-skip jump away. Staying at this house for a week with my family of 5 was the PERFECT RESET and was a highlight of our trip. I can't wait to return. I highly recommend this place if you want to visit the Montezuma area; this house is the BEST!

She gave us a wonderful tour of the property when we first got in. She was flexible with arrival time and was in contact before arrival. She suggested local town events and a private chef Bruno who made my birthday dinner unforgettable. Brunos chef experience was a five star meal with sweet birthday touches and a cake. He will curate a menu with you before arrival. Again, the view is breathtaking. Washer and dryer on property was useful after beach days. Friendly dogs on property that are very picky about their food. Lol. Horses and plenty of beautiful birds spotted. You can hear the monkeys in the distance morning and night.
